  1. This is my video presentation on virtual worlds. My first attempt ever at this sort of project. Bear with me and please feel free to leave comments that will better my usage in technology.

  2. Sue,

You have done a very nice job at your first attempt at making a video project. I think your introductory video is very powerful and sets the tone for the entire video. You exhibit good pace throughout the video. Your screen shots of virtual worlds are quite effective while your dialogue speaks about virtual worlds. The only suggestion for improvement would be that your key note speaker seems to be cut a bit short at the end. Overall well done.

  3. Suzanne,

I especially liked your explanation of virtual worlds and how the avatar can be used in the classroom. I am just learning about second life which seems to be very popular at this time in online learning. Your explanation of second life is very helpful. I am not sure about how to address this in my own class but you have given me a good start as I plan to look into this information further. One part of the video that was very successful was your use of technology in the production of the video. You did an excellent job providing the information and your video flowed very well. I also thought your references helped to support your main points in the use of virtual worlds in the online learning environment. While watching your video, I wondered about developing a classroom in which students used avatars to complete homework assignments this could be a motivational factor in completing homework.

Excellent job, I enjoyed your video and learned from it also!

    1. Thank you. this project has allowed me to learn more about virtual worlds and second life. I have to be honest, until this class, I knew nothing of them. I too would like to find out how I can use virtual worlds for special ed students. Thanks for your post.

  4. Sue,
I like how your beginning music faded in…In your list of how virtual worlds can be (and are) used may I add charity events and conferences? I am part of Relay for Life in Second Life and I am involved in the Virtual Worlds Best Practices in Education Conference. I like how you included video of the keynoter at the end. He needs a haircut!

  5. Sue,

How are you? I like the way you provided valuable insight on virtual worlds. The only suggestion, per our meeting, is to include more live footage. Overall good job for your first time.

    Respectfully,

  6. Suzanne, I especially liked how you presented the concept of virtual world and its applications in higher education. The possibilities for a virtual world were greatly noted in your presentation. Please watch your transitions from slide to slide. Some of the people's words were cut short. This is an excellent body of work.

  7. Hi Suzanne,
Your presetation on Virtual Worlds was very informative! I have gained some insight on attending classes in the virtual world. I was unaware that you could create avatars of yourself and the professor! I especially liked your visual representations. I thought they were so appropriate and interesting. Great work!
